“And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all.”
1 Thessalonians 3:12
In the busyness and confusion of daily life, it’s easy to lose focus and to become frustrated and to ignore hose around us. We are imperfect human beings struggling to manage our lives as best we can, but we often fall short.
When we are distracted or disappointed, we may neglect to share a kind word or kind deed. This oversight hurts others, but it hurts us most of all.
Today, as you think about ways to make your world a better place, be alert for people who need your smile, your kind words, or your helping hand. Make kindness a centerpiece of your dealings with others. Friends, family, strangers, co-workers. They will be blessed and so will you!
When we weave the thread of kindness into the fabric of our lives, we’ll be strengthened. Our character will be strengthened but that’s not all. You’ll also be giving glory to the One who gave His life for you and me.
So today and every day, honor Christ by following His commandment and obeying the Golden Rule. He expects no less and He deserves no less.
All around us are people whose lives are filled with trouble and sorrow. They need our compassion and encouragement.
Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s love.
Kindness is contagious, so make sure that your family and friends —even total strangers — catch it from you. And remember this: the kinder you are to other people, the better you’ll feel about yourself.
