There are days, when we just don’t feel as things are going our way. Problems at home, problems with work, we have health challenges, too much nastiness on your social feed, too much bad news on TV. And it’s raining outside, too.
Scripture says there will be days like these, days when your enemies might win a battle against you, days when your haters encamp around you.
But be encouraged, and encourage one another. Encouragement makes it easier to live in a fallen world in a holy way.
“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness” (Hebrews 3:13).
Paul was a member of the tribe of Benjamin, whose blessing from Moses promised they would rest between God’s shoulders. He was first accepted by the church in Jerusalem because of Barnabas and his encouragement. Barnabas means “Son of Encouragement.” The Bible tells us to encourage one another, to remind each other of the truth that God loves us, that God equips us, that we are treasured, and that our struggles are worth it.
Even in a season of drought, get ready for your season. Just believe, believe in His hand, believe that he will never leave or forsake you, believe that he is always near, for he is beside us.
