He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. — Ecclesiastes 3:11
If you want to live by faith, then you must learn to trust God’s timing. You and I will be sorely tempted to do otherwise. Because we are a fallible human being, we are impatient for things to happen. But God knows better.
When we read of the great Biblical leaders, we see that it was not uncommon for God to ask them to wait, not just a day or two, but years, until God was ready for them to act.
God has created a world that unfolds according to His own timetable, not ours, thank goodness. We mortals do make a terrible mess of things. God does not.
God’s plan does not always happen in the ways that we would like or at the time of our own choosing. Our task, as believing Christians who trust in a benevolent, all-knowing Father, is to patiently wait for God to reveal Himself. And reveal Himself He will. Always! But until God’s perfect plan is made known, we must walk in faith and never lose hope. And we must continue to trust in Him. Always.
God has very big plans in store for you and I, so trust Him and wait patiently for those plans to unfold. And remember God’s timing is best, so don’t allow yourself to become discouraged if things don’t work out exactly as you wish.
Instead of worrying about your future, entrust it to God. He knows exactly what you need and exactly when you need it.
God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn’t always allow us to see the exact timing for His plans.
Is not the Lord’s timing better than our own?
We must leave it to God to answer our prayers in His own omniscient way. Sometimes, we are so impatient and think that God does not answer. He always answers! He never fails! Be still and abide in Him.
We must learn to move according to the timetable of the Timeless One and to be at peace with it.
